Good is bad, right?

Wrong!  For years, all of my favorite cuisine was the stuff that was worst for me.  Good food had its place on my palate, for sure, but to say they were a favorite is highly invalid.  Monster, greasy cheeseburgers and fried anything often topped my list of delectable and artery hardening delights.

Changes often occur and one can't remember when or why: this is the eventual case with my food favorites.  At some point I switched from desiring porterhouses to craving portobellos, from favoring french fries to gathering guacamole.  This has advanced to such a point now that fried foods and red meat are seldom on my dinner plate.

For the duration of this blog, then, you should expect relatively health conscious recipes.  I don't claim to prepare and consume only perfect food, but I do know my diet is healthier than it used to be.  I also am certain that the food listed here will taste delicious.  Finally, I am glad to share these dishes with you, dear Internet.

As always, comments welcome.

Enjoyable Inconvenience

Life would be immensely easier if eating were not a necessity.  Hypothetically be rid of eating and all its related activities:  no shopping, no preparing, no cooking, no eating in itself, no cleanup, and no...  additionally activities about three hours to a day later.  Alas, these peripheral activities and the act of consumption are unavoidable.

But this is not all bad.  Along with the headache of ingestion come the spoils--delicacies beyond compare, even.  From sorbet to shrimp fajitas to filet mignon, we all have our favorite indulgences. Perhaps the only thing equivalent to consuming our favorite delights is telling others about them.  We thus arrive at the objective of this blog:  to relate my family's favorite culinary inconveniences.  If we have to go to the great inconvenience of eating, we might as well tell others about the items we enjoy.

We hope you enjoy following our comestible exploits, and hope to hear about yours in the comments.  Here's to your own digestible inconveniences!
